Here is a great smoothie recipe with TONS of vitamins and nutrients to kick-start your immune system and rid your body of contaminants. I have tried many combinations, but this is one of my favorites! Remember to use all organic ingredients for best results.
1 tablespoon of chia seeds
1 cup frozen antioxidant berry mix - Available at Costco. It contains pomegranate, cherries, blueberries, raspberries, and some strawberries. (Really any berry medley in the frozen section will do)
1 cup frozen strawberries
a handful of cilantro (tons of medicinal properties)
1/8 cup stevia (or 2 tablespoons honey)
zest and juice from one orange
1/3 cup almond milk or coconut milk (unsweetened)
1 tablespoon of MCT oil
Place chia seeds in a glass and cover with water. Let this soak for a few minutes until they get gooey. Add to blender, along with the rest of the ingredients. Mix for a minute or two and enjoy!
